Over eighty years old and in perfect condition, didn't have to blow any dust away when I received it, can't find any leaks in the ancient bellows. It's made for 116 rolls, 10 millimeter more headroom than a 120 roll can stomach, but that's easily taken care of in one way or another. There is no pressure plate by default, used one from an Agfa Isolette 2 for that, now it's a very very tight fit but the junkroll of film I tried did not show any signs of damage. The red window is in the wrong position since it's 116, the back in itself should be rotated 180' to be with the times but it's okay. Looking to try this one out with a few prints the summer of 2008.
I have found out that it's using 127 or 116 film, about 10 millimeter longer rolls than regular 120 film, that problem is solved, the red window positioning issue remains, but just requires one to carefully watch and read off notes to find out where you are on the roll. The lack of a pressure plate was remedied by donating one from an Agfa SpotMatic beyond repair, making it a very tight fit, but not so tight that it damages the film. |
